Steam Punk Time Monster

A time eater? That's what Dr. John Taylor calls his clock - The Chronophage - installed at Corpus Christi College at Cambridge. It features a ravenous looking locust-beast, with a head that puts one in mind of some terror from the deep. The gothic looking creature - a cross between a Geiger sculpture and something from Bosch - runs 'backward' along a brass disk edged with dragon like ridges. Blue lights flash around the middle of the disk, completing the very sinister blend of steam-punk and electro-modernism....

Check it out...

And here's a video with the inventor. He is well worth listening too....
